Is Mobile Phone Unlocking Legal?
Here in the UK, as confirmed by the Metropolitan Police, network unlocking a phone is legal. This is the same in the US and most other countries, as long as you own the mobile phone you are unlocking.
How do I know if my mobile phone needs to be unlocked?
A phone is network locked if it works on one mobile network, but not any others. So if it doesn't work on the network you wish to use it with and it only works on the original network it was sold on, then you need to unlock it (please note that in the UK, to use the network Three you need a 3G compatible phone).
How long does it take?
Delivery times for us to email you an unlock code range from 5 minutes to 20 days. The order form for a specific mobile phone will tell you how long it is, as each of our suppliers have different delivery schedules. In general, entering an unlock code on a phone once you've received it takes just a couple of minutes or less.
