SIM lock

If you bought your Nokia E6 on contract or on pay as you go, chances are the phone is network locked. This means only a SIM card from that specific network provider will work in the phone. To be able to use a SIM from another network in your Nokia E6, you need to unlock the phone. You can do this by using an unlock code. Once the phone is unlocked, you can use any SIM in the device. Nokia allows you limited attempts to try the code so only attempt to unlock your E6 once when you have been sent the valid code. There are no restrictions to stop you from unlocking your Nokia E6. Please note that a blocked phone is different to a locked phone. When a phone is blocked it has usually been reported as lost or stolen and we cannot offer you a code to unblock it.

Switching Networks

The Nokia E6 is 3G compatible and can be used on any GSM mobile network.
