SIM lock

The Samsung Galaxy Pro is an Android handset which can be SIM Network locked if sold on a contract or pay as you go with a specific network. This means that a network control key (NCK) sometimes called an unlock PIN, is required to remove the network lock. There are other types of locks that can be in place on a Samsung handsets such as the Service Provider lock which we also provide a code for (for European Samsung handsets) but the NCK is the most commonly required code.

The MCK is an unfreeze code that we also provide for European models. This is required before entering the NCK if incorrect unlock codes have been entered in the past. The phone may not request it but may still need it when asking for a Network Control Key, so get in touch with us if you're unsure about anything.

Switching Networks

There are a few reasons you may want to be able to switch networks on the Samsung Galaxy Pro. In the UK and other countries, a number of companies offer cheap international calls using a special SIM card, but this is often not the SIM card you'll use for making local calls or for receiving calls. Also, when travelling to other countries you can save a lot of money by buying a local SIM card in that country, rather than paying expensive roaming charges using your home country's network. Lastly if giving or selling the phone to someone else, making sure that it's unlocked gives the most flexibility, and generally increases the value of the Galaxy Pro.

Different Tools

There is a single tool providing unlock codes for the Samsung Galaxy Pro if it is locked to any European network, and a number of other Samsung specific (for the US and Brazil) and network specific (for elsewhere) unlock tools that will provide the necessary unlock code. The Samsung Europe and USA unlock tools provide both the NCK (network control key) and the MCK (unfreeze code) whereas other tools will usually only provide the NCK. Check with us if you're not sure what code you require.
