SIM lock

There are various different locks that can be placed on the Xperia X10. The most common one is the NCK or network code key (network unlock). However, there are a number of other service provider locks such as NSCK and SPK that can also prevent you from using the X10 on your desired network. As it's the most common, you can assume you'll just need to enter the NCK, so always enter it first.

What we cannot stop however is a block, which happens when a phone is reported as lost or stolen. Only the original network can remove a block. The way you can tell if it's a usual network SIM lock, or a block, is that if it only works on one network (the locked network), then it's just network locked, but if it won't work on any network at all, then it's blocked (or broken!). If you're not sure, just ask us.
